Excitement for the new Call of Duty seems to not be for the actual game

This story about yearly iterations, boiled down, in 1:22 minutes.

What's the fuss?

The trailer for the new Call of Duty just dropped and it's gotten people rather excited, but mainly for the features that don't affect the game itself.

The situation

One of the main reasons the first-person shooter franchise Call of Duty is a household name is because a new iteration releases every single year.

The next game in the franchise, dubbed Call of Duty: Vanguard, brings the series back to World War II.

Boiling it down

Currently, Warzone is Call of Duty's cash cow with over 100 million players
